AMU Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria for UG and PG courses, CUET, and Departmental Tests

On February 15, Aligarh Muslim University announced the admission notification for the AMU entrance exam 2023. The university has released the online application for the exam on the official website amucontrollerexams.com. However, the last date for application submission has not been confirmed yet. The exam schedule for the AMU entrance exam 2023, which includes application dates for various courses, has also been released. The exam for BA LLB 2023 will be held on May 14, 2023, and for BA/BSc/BCom, it will be held on April 30, 2023. Interested candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the university, which includes academic qualifications, minimum marks, and age limit, to be eligible for admission to undergraduate or postgraduate courses through the AMU entrance exam 2023.

AMU Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria for UG courses

  1. BSc courses in Home Science, Agriculture, and Life Sciences: Candidates should have completed Class 12 with Science subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Geography/Computer Science/Home Science or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks. The age limit is 24 years or less as of July 1, 2023.
  2. BA courses: Candidates should have obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination from a recognized education board or Sanad from an AMU-recognized Madarsa/Institution in India with 50% marks in aggregate. The age limit is 24 years or less as of July 1, 2023.
  3. BA in Foreign Languages: Candidates should have obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination from a recognized education board with 50% marks in aggregate. The age limit is 24 years or less as of July 1, 2023.
  4. BA LLB course: Candidates should have obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination from a recognized education board with 50% marks in aggregate. The age limit is 22 years or less as of July 1, 2023.
  5. BCom course: Candidates should have qualified SSC exam or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks in subjects such as Accountancy/Economics/Business Studies/Commerce/Banking/Entrepreneurship/Mathematics/Computer Science/Business Administration/Financial Markets Management, or Diploma in Secretarial Practice examination of AMU. The age limit is 24 years or less as of July 1, 2023.
  6. BVoc course: Candidates should have obtained a Senior Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination from a recognized education board with at least 45% marks in aggregate. The age limit is 24 years or less as of July 1, 2023.
  7. BSc Nursing course: Candidates who have qualified for the SSC exam from AMU or an equivalent board exam should have studied the subject combination Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) along with English Core/Elective, and obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate of the subject combination - PCB. The age limit is 17 years or above as of December 31, 2023.

AMU Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria for PG courses

  1. The courses include LLM, MBA, MCA, BEd, BLibSc, MSW, and MA in Mass Comm. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria specified for each course to be eligible for admission through AMUEE.
  2. The eligibility criteria include educational qualification, minimum marks required, and age limit, which is 27 years or less as on July 1, 2023, for all the courses except for MBA, which has no age restrictions.
  3. Candidates are advised to carefully read and understand the eligibility criteria before applying for the respective courses through AMUEE.
